SkySlope Books is a web application designed for brokerages to
handle their company finances, specifically real estate finances like escrow payments and agent commission.
MY ROLE
Lead UX/UI Designer
THE PROBLEM
Each year, brokerages have to fill out 1099 tax forms for each of the agents and vendors they worked with. For large brokerages, that’s hundreds of 1099 forms! What if we could create a way inside of our financial product, SkySlope Books, to digitally pre-fill these forms to save brokers time?

I worked closely with the product owner and lead developer to learn all sorts of fun things about tax forms and data storage inside of SkySlope Books.
THE REQUIREMENTS
- A report that can be generated with all agents and vendors
- Editable fields connected to 1099 tax fields
- Ability to add tax contact information for those missing details
- Download one large PDF with all tax forms pre-populated

Come next tax season, brokers will be able to quickly fill and update 1099 forms, helping them save time and providing a checkpoint to ensure 1099s are accurate (I hear the IRS prefers that).
